In Şanlıurfa, 11 tons of moldy and worm-infested walnut kernels prepared for use in baklava production were seized. According to a statement from the Eyyübiye Municipality, an inspection was carried out by the Municipal Directorate and the Agriculture and Forestry District Directorate at a workplace producing baklava in the Organized Industrial Zone. During the inspection, 11 tons of moldy and worm-infested walnut kernels were found in crates. The walnut kernels were confiscated for destruction, and legal action was taken against the business owners.
