$3 Billion New Weapon Sale approved from the US to Israel

The US administration has approved a new weapon sale to Israel, including a variety of bulldozers, bombs, various ammunitions, and other military equipment, totaling around $3 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), a subsidiary of the US Department of Defense, announced that the US Department of State has approved new weapon sales to Israel. Despite official notifications to Congress for approval of three separate weapon sales, no steps to block the sales are expected in Congress, where Republicans hold the majority. According to the initial statement by the DSCA, the US has approved the sale of equipment related to numerous D9 bulldozers to Israel for approximately $295 million. In another announcement, the sale of a variety of bombs and related parts to Israel, exceeding a total value of $2 billion, was also approved. The latest statement from the agency indicated approval for the sale to Israel of equipment related to ammunitions, guidance kits, and ammunition support, with a total value exceeding $675 million. This new approval from the US to Israel for weapon sales is recorded as the second package granted by the Trump administration this month. Just a few weeks ago, the Trump administration had also approved a $7.4 billion weapon sale to Israel.
