30 Billion Lira Decrease in Foreign Currency Protected Deposits

There was a 30 billion lira outflow from foreign currency protected deposit accounts last week.
The decline in foreign currency protected deposit accounts has accelerated. According to Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) data, there was a 30 million lira outflow from foreign currency protected Turkish Lira deposits and participation accounts in the week of February 7. The total balance of foreign currency protected deposits decreased from 996 billion lira to 966 billion lira.
The economic management aims to complete the outflow from foreign currency protected deposits by the end of this year.
