In the town of Mount Pleasant in the state of Wisconsin, a 4-year-old child called the emergency dispatch center to report an unusual incident where his mother ate his ice cream.
The call, made by a tearful voice on the phone, prompted police officers to take action. The 4-year-old child claimed that his mother ate his ice cream and dialed 911, telling officials, “My mom is being mean, come take her away.”
The operator tried to understand the situation, but the determined voice of the child was heard once again: “Come and take my mom!” However, soon after, an adult took over the phone and tried to explain the situation.
The suspicious emergency call center workers took the report seriously and deployed police officers to the scene. When the officers arrived, they heard the child’s story and were met with quite a different situation. The little child complained, “My mom ate my ice cream, so she should go to jail!” However, he quickly changed his mind and simply stated that he just wanted some ice cream. The next day, the police officers, wanting to make the young complainant happy, prepared a surprise for him. Returning to the house with ice cream in hand, the officers made a sweet gesture to win the child’s heart.
