Iran is celebrating the 46th anniversary of the revolution. Ceremonies were held in the capital Tehran with the participation of thousands of people. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi criticized the United States due to sanctions. A Hamas delegation attended the ceremony and delivered a message of “resistance until Palestine is free.”

President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran addressed the crowd at Azadi Square in Tehran during the celebrations marking the 46th anniversary of the revolution. In his speech, Raisi referred to the pressure and threats from the US, saying, “The enemies are trying to create the impression that Iran is weakening, but with the wisdom and finesse of Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with the presence of the people in the square, their ambitions will not become reality. The Iranian people resist tyranny and the enemy’s plot will not succeed.” Raisi pointed out how US President Donald Trump called for negotiations with Iran upon taking office but simultaneously signed an order imposing “maximum pressure” on Tehran, saying, “Trump talks about negotiating with Iran, yet he reveals his intentions by signing executive orders that reveal his hidden agendas.” Raisi emphasized that the US believes Iran will surrender, which he called “naive,” saying, “If you truly want negotiations, why did you make these mistakes? They claim they want to block all access to us, including medicine, food, and water, but if they were capable, they would have done so already.”

Regarding the economic challenges in the country, Raisi stated, “We are in a full-fledged economic war and we must be wary of falling into the traps set by some individuals who disrupt the market and undermine the people’s view of the revolution, the government, and the leadership through hoarding. With the help of the people, wisdom, politics, and God’s assistance, we will overcome these crises.” Raisi underscored that Iran does not seek war, saying, “We are not seeking war. Those who killed Ismail Haniyeh in our country were afraid of our unity and solidarity, and they seek conflict and discord.” Raisi mentioned how enemies try to assassinate Iranian scientists as part of the conspiracies against Iran, stating, “They do not want to see any free and conscious individuals in our country. They try to manipulate them, and if they fail, they try to kill them.”
