Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that his country has prepared a “comprehensive plan” to rebuild the Gaza Strip without displacing the Palestinians. Meeting with World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder in Cairo, el-Sisi emphasized that all sides must take responsibility for maintaining the ceasefire. He noted that the continuation and escalation of the conflict will harm all parties without exception. The Egyptian President also met with Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah of Jordan in Cairo. Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah highlighted his support for Egypt’s efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the need to rebuild the Gaza Strip without displacing its residents. According to Sky News’ Arabic channel, Hamas has signaled its readiness to transfer control of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority under intense pressure from Egypt, indicating that Hamas has accepted this. It is said that Hamas is requesting the inclusion or retirement of state employees in the new administration.
