7th Prisoner Swap in Gaza: Israel Delays Handover of Palestinian Prisoners, Hamas Reacts

The latest round of the prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas is taking place in Gaza. In the seventh round, Hamas released six Israeli prisoners instead of three. In Rafah, two hostages and one prisoner in the center of Gaza were handed over to the Red Cross. Three hostages were ceremoniously released in Nuseirat. As one of the hostages was set free, a member of Hamas’ military wing, the Kassam Brigades, kissed him on the forehead. In exchange for the Israeli prisoners, 602 Palestinian prisoners will be released from jails. It was reported that Israel will delay the handover of Palestinian prisoners until the end of the “security meeting” organized by Prime Minister Netanyahu. Hamas expressed their reaction to the situation, stating that Israel’s failure to release the Palestinian prisoners at the agreed time is a clear violation of the deal.
