8,500 New Employment Opportunities for Green Homeland

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumaklı, announced the establishment of a new team of 8,500 people to protect the Green Homeland. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı stated that efforts are underway to build a stronger defense line against forest fires. Participating in the “Forests Workshop in the Process of Climate Change” program held within the scope of the Fourth Agriculture and Forestry Council, Yumaklı revealed that over 200 billion lire has been allocated to the Green Homeland. Yumaklı mentioned that almost 8 billion seeds and seedlings have been planted, saying, “Thanks to this, today we stand as a country with significant forest assets in the world with 24.3 million hectares, and we are a country that develops this.” Emphasizing their desire to establish a stronger defense line to protect the Green Homeland, Yumaklı stated, “I would like to share some good news as well. In the coming months, we will integrate 8,500 new team members, including 3,105 firefighting workers, 3,477 support staff, and 150 engineers, into our teams.”
