“Patriots of Europe” Gathered in Madrid

The far-right group “Patriots of Europe” gathered in Madrid with the aim of providing an alternative to the “right and left groups in the EU.
Established among far-right parties in Europe, the “Patriots of Europe” group gathered in the Spanish capital Madrid to determine strategies that could offer an alternative to the “right and left groups in the European Union (EU).
Following the last European Parliament elections, the initiative of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in June 2024, “Patriots of Europe” held its first meeting after acquiring its institutional identity in Madrid.
Santiago Abascal, the leader of the far-right party Vox in Spain who was elected as the first president of the “Patriots of Europe” group at the last meeting in Paris in November 2024, hosted the summit in Madrid over the weekend.
