Price per kilo 7 thousand lira: First harvest completed, high demand

One of Turkey’s earliest apricot harvests took place in the district of Iznik in Bursa. A 26-year-old agricultural engineer offered his apricots for sale at 7 thousand lira per kilo in his 800 square meter smart greenhouse, which houses 300 apricot trees.
Mustafa Kutay Ası, the young agricultural engineer in Iznik, has been growing green apricots in his greenhouse throughout the winter. Both of his parents are also agricultural engineers. The entrepreneur’s apricots have been in demand from all over Turkey and have attracted significant interest from abroad as well, including countries like Germany, Qatar, Dubai, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
Struggling to keep up with the high demand from various countries, the engineer takes care of his apricots like babies all year round. Despite the high heating costs of the greenhouse, the young engineer expressed his joy at completing the first apricot harvest under cover, with the price per kilo being 7 thousand lira in the month of February.
