Minister Şimşek to meet investors in Dubai

Minister of Treasury and Finance Şimşek will meet with investors in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. According to information obtained from the Ministry, Şimşek’s meetings in Dubai, which started yesterday, will end tomorrow. On the first day of his meetings, Şimşek met with leading figures in the finance world in a roundtable discussion, where he answered participants’ questions about the Turkish economy. The meetings of Şimşek will include both extensive group sessions and one-on-one meetings with investors in the scope of his Dubai visits. It is expected that high-level representatives from the finance sector and real sector will attend the investor meeting where Şimşek will make a comprehensive presentation on global economic developments, progress in Turkey’s economic program, and investment opportunities. Minister Şimşek will also hold official meetings with his counterparts. At the prestigious World Government Summit, Şimşek will participate as a panelist in a panel titled “Rise of Multiple Economic Blocs.” Şimşek is expected to be accompanied by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal el-Ibrahim, the UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Tuk al-Mari, and Indonesia’s Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.
