Suicide Bomb Attack in Afghanistan: 5 Killed, 7 Injured

In the city of Kunduz, Afghanistan, a suicide attack took place. It was reported that 5 people, including Taliban members, were killed while 7 others were injured as a result of the attack.
A suicide bombing occurred in the northern city of Kunduz, Afghanistan.
According to Reuters, as a result of a suicide bomber detonating himself, the latest information indicates that 5 people died and 7 were injured.
POTENTIAL FOR MORE CASUALTIES
An eyewitness from the provincial hospital in Kunduz stated that the bodies of 14 people were brought to the hospital.
Another source from the same hospital mentioned that at least 17 deceased individuals had been transferred to the hospital so far.
Some sources claimed that the actual number of casualties might be higher than these figures.
The explosion took place near a Kabil Bank branch in Kunduz province at 08:35 local time.
TALIBAN MEMBERS ALSO LOST THEIR LIVES
The police announced that in the blast, along with the bank’s security guard and four others, members of the Taliban, who are in control in Afghanistan, also lost their lives.
The provincial police spokesperson Jumma Uddin Khakasr stated that seven individuals were injured in the attack.
NO GROUP HAS CLAIMED THE ATTACK
While no information has been provided regarding the perpetrators behind the attack, as of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Groups affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS in Afghanistan have been engaging in an insurgency against the Taliban since their return to power in 2021.
Although Taliban officials have claimed to have largely suppressed the group, ISIS continues to carry out attacks in Afghanistan.
