Child Park or Battlefield? 150 Bombs Found in Play Area

In a child park in England, more than 150 unexploded bombs from World War II have been discovered. It was stated that the explosives found during construction work could be harmful practice bombs. Officials said that there could be more buried in the playground than what has been found so far.
In a child park in the north of England, over 150 bombs from World War II were found. The bombs were discovered during a construction project to renovate Scotts Park playground in Wooler, a small town near the Scottish border.
SUSPICIOUS OBJECT FOUND BBC, the British broadcasting corporation, reported that workers found a “suspicious object” while excavating the ground on January 14. The found object turned out to be a type of practice bomb or training device that could still be harmful. Brimstone Site Investigations, a company specializing in unexploded ordnance, was tasked with investigating the area.
BOMBS FOUND IN SUCCESSION On the first day of the investigation, 65 additional practice bombs and smoke grenades, each weighing 10 pounds, were found. It was reported that on the second day of work, 90 more practice bombs were collected and transported to a storage area. BBC reported that the Ministry of Defense has ordered a comprehensive investigation to be conducted at the site.
