Elon Musk Corrects Claim of “$50 Million Condoms to Gaza”

American billionaire and Director of Government Efficiency Department (DOGE), Elon Musk, clarified the Trump administration’s claim that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) sent $50 million worth of condoms to Gaza. Speaking during a press briefing at the White House about DOGE’s activities, Musk admitted that a previous claim regarding Gaza was inaccurate. Musk responded to a question asking for a correction to the statement about USAID sending $50 million worth of condoms to Gaza, stating, “First of all, some of the things I said might be incorrect and need correction. We will make mistakes, but we will act quickly to correct them.” Musk emphasized the excessive amount of the figure, saying, “I am not certain we need to send $50 million worth of condoms anywhere. That’s a really large number of condoms. If they ended up in Mozambique instead of Gaza, then it’s not that bad of a situation. Still, why are we doing this?” President Trump had alleged that USAID sent $50 million worth of condoms to Gaza and claimed they were being used by Hamas to make bombs, which Musk had echoed on several occasions.
