Virtual marketplace established for retirees: Those who wish can sell their own products

The Turkish Retirees Association has launched the “Retiree Market” platform for retirees. Through this online shopping platform, retirees will be able to sell products they have produced themselves. No shipping fees will be charged for products sourced directly from producers.
The Turkish Retirees Association (TÜED) established the digital marketplace “Retiree Market” with the aim of preventing retirees from being affected by high prices and allowing them to shop for more affordable options. TÜED President Kâzım Ergün stated that no shipping fees will be charged for purchases delivered to retirees’ doorsteps. Ergün said, “In this way, we will be boycotting the exorbitant price increases as retirees.” All retirees and citizens who wish to do so will be able to shop at reasonable prices on the digital marketplace. Association members will be granted higher discounts.
SOURCED DIRECTLY FROM PRODUCERS According to a report in Türkiye Newspaper, a wide range of products including food, clothing, cosmetics, technology, and more will be sourced directly from producer companies at the market. The market can be accessed through the TÜED website or emekpazari.com.tr. The Retiree Market application can be downloaded to mobile phones from the App Store and Google Play. Membership is required to access the platform. TÜED member retirees can use their T.C. ID numbers as usernames and the last 6 digits of their ID number as passwords.
FOCUS ON LOCAL PRODUCTS Ergün stated that within the project, local producers will be predominantly supported, and there will be a significant emphasis on natural and organic products. Ergün mentioned that holiday opportunities and all other products and services will be provided to consumers without intermediary firms, ensuring that retirees are not affected by high prices through discount campaigns.
