The trade deficit reached 9.97 billion dollars in 2024.

According to the Central Bank data, there was a deficit of 4.65 billion dollars in the trade balance in December. Economists had predicted that the trade deficit would be 9.651 billion dollars in 2024 and would increase to 19.909 billion dollars by the end of 2025.

The trade deficit for the year 2024 had been estimated at 22 billion dollars in the Medium-Term Program.
