Support to be Provided to 52 Thousand SMEs

KOSGEB plans to provide support to 52 thousand SMEs in various fields by 2025. This year, the number of supported female entrepreneurs will rise to 8,500.

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) will offer support to 52 thousand SMEs in various fields this year. As part of entrepreneurship support, KOSGEB, which contributed to 7,041 female entrepreneurs last year, plans to increase the number to 8,500 this year. It is expected that the share of support provided to women in 2025 will reach 27% of total entrepreneurship support.

AIMING FOR HIGH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTION
KOSGEB, which is crucial for economic and social development and is seen as a key gear in the industrial wheels, aims to help SMEs expand into international markets and improve their export capacities. Accordingly, KOSGEB continues to increase its support towards this goal. Efforts are being made to increase the production of medium-high and high technology by SMEs with KOSGEB support. In this context, support is planned for 2,200 businesses by 2025. Additionally, it is aimed for the share of support provided to medium-high and high technology businesses to reach 26% of all KOSGEB support.

As a result, the creation and commercialization of high technology products that will enhance the country’s competitiveness in international markets by generating added value are planned.

SUPPORT FOR TWIN TRANSFORMATION PROJECTS
KOSGEB will support projects in the green transformation field, which aims to reduce the increasing environmental impact and embrace sustainability principles. In this context, 1,100 businesses will be supported. The administration will also be alongside businesses in the digital transformation, the other aspect of twin transformation. It is expected that the number of businesses supported by KOSGEB for digital transformation investment expenses will reach 120 this year.

SUPPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT TO OVER 2,000 BUSINESSES
KOSGEB also provides support for technological product investments. In this regard, the target for the number of technological products invested with KOSGEB support by 2025 is 50. The number of products supported for domestic production by the Administration is planned to reach 15 this year.

The institution, which offers support for efforts to increase SME exports, aims to raise the share of SMEs in exports to 34% this year. The Administration is also working on supporting businesses in the field of financing.

KOSGEB aims to provide financial support to 1,250 businesses by 2025. Being sensitive to improving the capacity of businesses, KOSGEB aims to support 2,200 businesses this year. The institution also aims to increase the share of manufacturing industry in its supports this year. Accordingly, it is expected that the share of the manufacturing industry within the Administration’s support, which was 72.6% last year, will reach 74% this year.
