Turkish Lira Recommendation from Morgan Stanley

According to Morgan Stanley, the Turkish Lira is expected to be one of the best performing currencies this year. The American investment bank Morgan Stanley has released its “2025 Currency Exchange Rate Forecast Update” report. The report noted that despite the previous year’s prediction by bank economists of 3 interest rate cuts from the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) in 2025, it is now expected that the interest rate cut in June will be sufficient. The report also indicated that Asia will continue to underperform within the global emerging markets, while highlighting that the Turkish Lira remains a favored asset. It stated, “According to our forecasts, the Turkish Lira will be one of the best performing currencies in the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEEMEA) region.”
