The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week with a 0.13% increase at 9,890.23 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,890.23 points with an increase of 12.64 points and 0.13% compared to the previous close. The banking index gained 0.14%, while the holding index rose by 0.13%. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 0.97%, while securities investment partnerships lost the most with 0.29%. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index followed a selling trend on Friday, closing the day with a 0.37% decrease at 9,877.59 points. Global markets continue to seek direction amidst concerns about the consequences of the US tariff policies. US President Donald Trump’s actions regarding tariffs continue to impact world economies facing the dilemma of inflation and recession. Analysts noted that today, domestic budget balance data will be monitored, while in the international arena, trade balance data in the Eurozone will be observed. From a technical standpoint, they highlighted that the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,950 and 10,000 points, while the support levels are at 9,800 and 9,700.
