Here is the calculation made…Economic management will carry out a new study for the holiday bonuses of retirees. Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, previously stated that they would conduct a study regarding holiday bonuses. The expectation for the rate of increase in holiday bonuses for retirees to be between 20% and 40% has been steadily rising. The holiday bonuses increased by 50% previously, rising to 3,000 liras. A 15.75% increase was applied to SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund pensions at the beginning of 2025. It is not expected for the bonus increase to be below this rate. If there is a 20% increase in holiday bonuses, it will rise to 3,600 liras, and with a 25% increase, it will reach 3,750 liras. In a scenario where the increase rate is at 30%, bonuses will rise by 900 liras to 3,900 liras. Especially, with a 35% increase expectation, the holiday bonus will exceed the limit of 4,000 liras, reaching 4,050 liras. If there is a 40% increase, pensioners will receive bonuses up to 4,200 liras. Not only SSK, Bağ-Kur, and the Retirement Fund retirees will benefit from the holiday bonus payments. Those receiving elderly pension (at 65 years of age), duty disability pension, disability pension, death pension, continuous incapacity income, and death benefit can also benefit. Additionally, relatives of martyrs, veterans, combat veterans, security officers, champion athletes, civilian individuals affected by terrorism will benefit from the bonuses both during the Ramadan holiday and the Feast of Sacrifice. As the dates of the Ramadan holiday are calculated according to the Hijri calendar, they fall on different days in the Gregorian calendar every year. Unlike the previous year, the Ramadan holiday will be celebrated 10 days earlier this year. According to the schedule announced by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the Ramadan holiday will be observed on March 30 – April 1, 2025.
