As a result, the technology company has doubled the quantity of artificial intelligence chips compared to last year. This move is seen as a significant step for Huawei, which has introduced Ascend 910C processors that deliver better performance than 910B chips to the market. It was also noted that the production line for Ascend chips has become profitable for the first time due to increased efficiency. The company aims to increase the efficiency of similar chips by 60%. On the other hand, despite pressure from the US, Huawei’s move has been interpreted as a significant step for China’s infrastructure development plan for artificial intelligence. The Beijing government had advised Chinese technology companies to purchase Huawei’s artificial intelligence chips and had called for avoiding Nvidia.
