It was also noted that the production line for Ascend chips has become profitable for the first time due to increased efficiency. The company aims to increase the efficiency of similar chips by 60%. On the other hand, despite pressure from the US, Huawei’s move has been interpreted as a significant step for China’s infrastructure development plan for artificial intelligence. The Beijing government had advised Chinese technology companies to purchase Huawei’s artificial intelligence chips and had called for avoiding Nvidia.
