Discount Campaign at Local Markets in Istanbul

In Istanbul, markets will keep prices steady during the Ramadan. Member markets of PERDER will also apply discounts of up to 25% on some products.
Local markets in Istanbul have decided to stabilize prices throughout the Ramadan month.
The announcement was made by Faruk Güzeldere, the Chairman of the Istanbul Association of Food and Grocery Retailers (Istanbul PERDER). Accordingly, markets will keep prices steady on thousands of products, with a focus on essential food items, during the Ramadan month. Some products will also have discounts of up to 25%. This practice will be valid until the end of the Ramadan month. Member markets of the association had previously decided to keep red meat prices steady. Güzeldere stated that they will protect consumers against price hikes based on opportunism. In Istanbul, there are 66 member markets and 2,700 branches of PERDER.
