With the approach of the 2025 Ramadan holiday, all attention has turned to the rate of increase in retirement bonuses. Last year, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced a 50% increase in the holiday bonuses given to retirees twice a year, raising it to 3,000 liras. So, how much will the retirement holiday bonus be in 2025? Eyes are now on the announcement that will be made by the government before the increase in retirement holiday bonuses. Minister Işıkhan, who announced how much this year’s holiday bonuses will be, started speculation by the public about the expected percentage of increase. Here are the possibilities of a percentage increase. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made a statement regarding the holiday bonuses given to retirees. Minister Işıkhan stated, “We will work on the holiday bonuses for retirees.” The holiday bonuses for retirees were increased by 50% last year, rising to 3,000 liras. Following the 15.75% increase in January 2025, the expected percentage increase for holiday bonuses ranges from 20% to 40%. In case a 15.75% increase is applied, the holiday bonus for SSI and Bağ-Kur retirees will be 3,472 liras. With a 20% increase, it will be 3,600 liras, and with a 25% increase, it will be 3,750 liras. If the increase is at 30%, the bonuses will rise by 900 liras and reach 3,900 liras. In case of a 35% increase in holiday bonuses, the bonus amount will exceed the 4,000 lira limit and be 4,050 liras. If there is a 40% increase, retirees’ bonuses will rise to 4,200 liras.
