Natural gas prices remain unchanged

BOTAŞ announced that there would be no changes in natural gas sales prices as of March. The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) reported that there have been no adjustments made to the sales tariff for residential and industrial customers using natural gas and gas for electricity production as of March. According to the tariff table published on BOTAŞ’s website, the tariff for residential and industrial customers as well as the tariff for electricity production purposes will remain unchanged in March. Therefore, the sales price that BOTAŞ will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in March was announced as 5,631 Turkish Lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. The tariff for bakery producers was set at 8,549 Turkish Lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. As for the tariff for electricity production purposes, the price for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas was announced as 12,000 Turkish Lira. Pricing tariffs for natural gas are calculated on a monthly basis. In the announcement on the institution’s website, it was stated, “When the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI) prices are considered, the lowest natural gas prices in Europe after Ukraine are applied in our country for residential purposes.”
