More Than Half of Americans Are Unsatisfied with Trump

According to a survey conducted in the United States, the American public is divided on President Trump’s performance in office. While Republicans support Trump’s presidential performance, Democrats and independents are largely dissatisfied.
In the U.S., 52% of the public disapproves of President Donald Trump’s performance in office. A survey conducted by CNN’s independent research company SSRS on February 24-28 via phone and online with 2,212 people nationwide examined the public’s thoughts on Trump’s presidency. The survey, conducted just before Trump’s first official speech in Congress, revealed that 48% of participants were satisfied with his performance, while 52% did not approve. It was noted that the 48% satisfaction rate regarding Trump’s presidency was higher compared to the satisfaction rate in a previous survey conducted before the first speech in Congress in the previous presidential term.
90% OF REPUBLICANS SATISFIED
90% of Republican participants expressed satisfaction with Trump’s presidential performance, while 90% of Democrats and 59% of independents reported dissatisfaction with the President’s performance. In the survey, 45% of participants argued that Trump’s policy proposals lead the country in the “wrong direction.” 39% of participants stated that Trump’s policy proposals are guiding the country in the right direction, while 15% did not express an opinion. The majority of participants, 52%, believed that Trump does not give enough importance to the country’s most important issues, while 40% stated that the President has the right priorities. In the survey, 41% of young adults aged 18-34 were satisfied with Trump’s presidential performance, while 51% expressed dissatisfaction. It was found that men expressed more support for Trump than women in the survey, with 54% of male participants and 42% of female participants stating they were satisfied with the president’s performance.
