Israeli Forces Demolish Palestinian Homes in the West Bank

Israeli soldiers reportedly demolished 4 houses and set 2 homes on fire in the occupied Jenin Refugee Camp in the West Bank. According to eyewitnesses, Israeli army bulldozers conducted demolition operations during daylight hours in the Jenin Refugee Camp. Witnesses stated that the Israeli army demolished 4 houses in the camp and set 2 homes on fire under the pretext of creating roads and connecting the center of the refugee camp to other streets. In Tulkarem, located in the north of the West Bank, Israeli forces entered the Nur Shams Refugee Camp with bulldozers and demolition vehicles, starting to demolish 17 homes in the camp. Nehad al-Shavish, the President of the Nur Shams Refugee Camp Services Committee, stated yesterday that the Israeli army had warned that 17 homes in the camp’s Manshiyya neighborhood would be demolished for “road construction.” Shavish recalled that Israeli forces had demolished 11 homes within a week, expressing concern that the at-risk housing units consisted of numerous apartments, potentially leaving dozens of families homeless. For over two months, Israel has been demolishing Palestinian homes in refugee camps in Tulkarem and Jenin under the pretext of “road construction,” following intensive attacks.
