1600 people attended street iftar in the Netherlands

Approximately 1600 people participated in the street iftar organized by the Ulu Cami Foundation affiliated with the Netherlands Diyanet Foundation (HDV). In the city of Utrecht, Muslim families and Dutch city residents came together at the “Cami Meydanı” for the iftar program. Representatives from the municipality, various institutions, and religious organizations also attended the program. At the iftar where the Quran was recited and salutations were made, participants broke their fast with the call to prayer and performed the evening prayer in the mosque. Around 1600 people attended the street iftar, which received great interest. The “Holland’s Largest Museum” project involves different places of worship from different religions, serving in the field of culture and art as part of the project initiated by the Catharijneconvent National Museum in the Netherlands to increase visits to places of worship in the country. A total of 23 places of worship belonging to different religions in the country are included in the “Holland’s Largest Museum” project. The Ulu Cami in Utrecht, the Fatih Mosque in the capital city of Amsterdam, and the Yunus Emre Mosque in the city of Almelo are among them.
