Protestors Apply “Gaza Penalty” to Trump’s $60 Million Golf Course

The Palestine Action activist group targeted US President Trump’s Scottish Turnberry golf course. Photos from Turnberry in Scotland show buildings painted in red. Some of the most prestigious holes on the course were dug up by the protest group Palestine Action, with ‘Gaza is not for sale’ written in letters three meters high on a green area. This reaction came after Trump’s proposal to “seize” the Gaza Strip and turn it into a glamorous tourism center known as the “Middle East Riviera.” The Palestine Action group, in a statement on social media, wrote, “While Trump tries to treat Gaza as his property, he must be aware that his own property is within reach.” Trump’s plan received global criticism for potentially displacing Gaza’s two million population by force. According to the British Daily Mail, American critics wonder if Trump’s vision will lead the country into a potentially “bloody occupying power” role. RETRANSLATED Trump purchased Turnberry in 2014 from a Dubai-based company for $60 million, later renaming it “Trump Turnberry” and carrying out extensive renovations. Additionally, the US President also owns a golf course built from scratch on previously protected sand dunes north of Aberdeen.
