Evaluating industrial production data, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated, “Following the strong growth in the last two months of 2024, industrial production contracted in January due to correction in high volatile sectors but continued to show yearly increase.” Şimşek emphasized that the number of sectors providing a positive contribution to industrial production on a yearly basis has increased, and the moderate recovery in activity is seen spreading overall.
