The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that Chinese leader Xi Jinping will be visiting the US.

Speaking at a board meeting of the Kennedy Center in Washington, Trump mentioned that Chinese President Xi Jinping will be visiting the US in the “near future.”

No official statement has been released from the Chinese side regarding this matter.

Trump had invited Xi to his second presidential inauguration ceremony as well. Although Xi did not attend the event in person, he sent Vice President Han Zheng in his place. The debate on whether Xi will visit the US has been ongoing for some time.
