Israel Strikes Dara’a in Southern Syria

Israeli warplanes targeted Dara’a in southern Syria. Reports indicate that 2 civilians were killed and 19 civilians were injured in the attacks.
Local sources announced that Israeli aircraft targeted the 12th and 132nd Brigades around Dara’a. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), 2 civilians lost their lives and 19 civilians were wounded in the assaults. The Israeli army entered Syria after Damascus leader Bashar al-Assad fled to Moscow and the collapse of the Ba’ath regime.
The Israeli army, targeting the military infrastructure and capabilities left by the regime army, expanded its occupation in the Golan Heights. The Israeli army that entered the buffer zone approached within 25 kilometers of Damascus. Israel has been occupying the Golan Heights, which belong to Syria, since 1967. The Disengagement of Forces Agreement signed between Israel and Syria in 1974 established the boundaries of the buffer zone and demilitarized zone.
