The Competition Authority has imposed administrative fines totaling 537.2 million Turkish liras on eight companies operating in the power transformer sector. In a statement released by the Authority, it was stated that administrative fines were imposed on certain enterprises for engaging in coordinated practices in sales and price coordination.

During this process, reference was made to a settlement application by SEM Transformatör AŞ, accepting the violation, with the company being fined 42 million 379 thousand 948 liras with a 25% reduction due to the settlement. The companies involved and the amounts of fines imposed are as follows: Astor Enerji AŞ and EFG Elektrik Enerji AŞ – 339,807,744 liras Balıkesir Elektromanyetik Sanayi Tesisleri AŞ – 69,033,435 liras Beta Enerji ve Teknoloji AŞ – 32,315,343 liras Ekos Teknoloji ve Ticaret AŞ – 12,736,611 liras Eltaş Transformatör Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ – 13,519,367 liras Eva Elektromekanik Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ – 7,231,510 liras Monokon Elektrik Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ – 898,433 liras Ulusoy Elektrik İmalat Taahhüt ve Ticaret AŞ – 19,272,557 liras
