Israel to Establish New Unit for Exiling Gazans

The Israeli government has decided to establish a new unit under the Ministry of Defense to “coordinate” the forced displacement of Gazans. In a written statement from the Israeli Ministry of Defense, it was announced that during a security cabinet meeting held last night, the decision to approve the establishment of a new unit focusing on the exile of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip under Israeli attacks was made. The new “directorate” to be established is said to work on coordinating the transit of Palestinians from Gaza through land, sea, and air routes. The statement mentioned that the Tel Aviv administration is working with “all means” to implement U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to forcibly displace Palestinians in Gaza. During a joint press conference held with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on February 4th, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States would “take over” and “have” the Gaza Strip. Trump noted that Gaza is now a complete disaster area, suggesting that it would be much better for Palestinians there to move to new settlements to be built in neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan. Trump also claimed that Palestinians have no choice but to leave Gaza.
