When will inflation data be announced? Inflation expectation for March

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) will share inflation data for the month of March with the public according to the determined schedule, as is done every month. The inflation rates for March will be announced to the citizens in the first week of April. TUIK regularly releases inflation data to the public on the 3rd of each month. Therefore, the awaited inflation data for March is eagerly anticipated. According to the shared schedule, the data will be accessible on April 3, 2025, Thursday, at 10:00. The announcement of inflation rates is of great importance for experts, investors, and citizens closely following the economy. The disclosed data serve as a critical indicator that can affect both market developments and individuals’ purchasing power. Especially considering the recent economic fluctuations, the inflation figures to be announced by TUIK are expected to be scrutinized carefully by economic circles.The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published the March Market Participants Survey conducted with 68 participants, including real and financial sector representatives and professionals. According to the survey, the expectation for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase in March, which was 2.26% last month, rose to 2.27% in this survey period. The expectation for the end-of-year CPI increase dropped from 28.30% to 28.04%. The expected CPI increase for 12 months ahead decreased from 25.26% to 24.55%, while for 24 months ahead, it went down from 17.26% to 17.06%.The participants’ end-of-year USD/TRY expectation decreased from 42.8869 to 42.7907, while the expectation for USD/TRY in 12 months increased from 43.9612 to 44.4165. The expectation for the end-of-year current account deficit, which was 18.8 billion dollars in the previous survey period, rose to 19.4 billion dollars in this period. The expectation for the current account deficit for the next year is 24.5 billion dollars.
