Israel Targets Syria: Air Strikes on Damascus, Hama, and Homs

Israel is escalating its attacks in Syria. It has been reported that multiple points were targeted in air strikes on Damascus, Homs, and Hama. The west of the Dera province was also targeted with artillery and mortar fire.

According to the Israeli military, the attacks targeted military infrastructure facilities. The statement mentioned that attacks were carried out on Hama, Homs, and the capital city of Damascus. The Syrian official news agency also announced that Israel hit a scientific research facility near the Barzeh district in the capital city of Damascus. The agency reported that a military airport in Hama was also targeted. It is currently unknown if there were any casualties in the attacks or the extent of the material damage.

ARTILLERY AND MORTAR FIRE IN DERA

Following the collapse of the Ba’ath regime on December 8, 2024, Israel, which had occupied some settlements in the south of Syria, targeted the Tel Cumu and Tel Cabiye areas of the Dera province with artillery and mortar strikes.
