In the scope of its project called “Project Kuiper,” Amazon is set to launch its first complete satellite group next week.

According to a statement from Amazon, the mission named ‘Kuiper Atlas 1’ will send 27 satellites into space on Wednesday, April 9th, at 12:00 from Florida using an Atlas V rocket.

The launch will be carried out by United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

Similar to ‘Starlink,’ Amazon’s ‘Project Kuiper’ is designed to provide internet service to areas with limited internet access, such as war zones and disaster areas.
