MASAK: Reports are directly delivered to the prosecutor’s office

The Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) announced that the analysis reports are delivered to the requesting prosecutors without being presented to any authority or approval.
In a written statement from MASAK, it was highlighted that there is a need to inform the public once again in response to the systematic baseless accusations aimed at misleading the public and damaging the institution.
– The reports prepared by MASAK as a result of the analysis studies arising from requests transmitted by the prosecutor’s office are completed entirely through a technical process under the supervision and control of the management levels of the Presidency, without being presented to any authority outside the Presidency, and are directly delivered to the requesting prosecutor. – There is no involvement of the Ministry management authorities in this process. The fact that the reports are prepared by expert assistants authorized by the legislation does not weaken the quality of the prepared reports legally and in terms of competence. All of MASAK’s reports are based on financial data obtained from other institutions and organizations. – It is always up to the judgment of the judicial authorities whether the data in MASAK reports constitute any crime. The fight against financial crimes is very important for our country and our nation, and MASAK meticulously continues its work within the framework of the powers granted by the laws.
