Sharp Decline in Borsa Istanbul

While all sector indices declined, banking was the biggest loser. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index, which followed a sales-oriented trend yesterday, ended the day with a 1.10% decrease at 9,379.83 points. In global markets, the selling pressure that emerged after US President Donald Trump announced reciprocity-based tariffs gained strength and carried over to the new week. Analysts mentioned that today, weekly money and bank statistics domestically, news flow regarding US tariffs abroad, the Sentix investor confidence index in the Eurozone, and retail sales will be closely monitored. From a technical standpoint, the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,100 and 9,000, while 9,200 and 9,300 points are considered resistance levels.
