The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shares inflation figures every month. Last month, CPI was announced as 38.1% on an annual basis. Monthly consumer prices increased by 2.46%. As April’s inflation data is awaited, the Central Bank published a survey of market participants. How much is the inflation expectation for April, and when will the inflation rate be announced? According to the April inflation expectation survey, the expected increase in CPI rose to 3.07%. The expected increase in CPI was 28.04% in the previous survey period, but in this survey period, it was determined as 29.98%. The interest rate expectation was 42.33% in the previous period, but now it is 46.00%. Here is the expected date for inflation figures… Inflation data is announced by TURKSTAT on the 3rd of each month. However, if this date falls on a weekend, the inflation figures are announced on the following Monday. Therefore, inflation data will be announced on May 5th. The survey of market participants for April 2025 was published. The expected CPI was 28.04% in the previous survey period, while in the current survey period, it was 29.98%. The 12-month CPI expectation was 24.55% in the previous survey period, but it was announced as 25.56% in this survey period. The 24-month CPI expectation in the same survey periods was 17.06% and 17.69% respectively.

12-MONTH INFLATION EXPECTATION
In the April 2025 survey period, the 12-month predictions indicate that the average probability of CPI will increase by 17.12% and will likely be within the range of 20.00 – 22.99% with a probability of 35.59%, 23.00 – 25.99% with a probability of 34.55%, and 26.00 – 28.99% with a probability of 29.86%.

24-MONTH INFLATION EXPECTATION
According to the participants’ predictions for the next 24 months, the average CPI is expected to have a probability of 12.98% to increase between 13.00 – 15.99% with a probability of 35.75%, 16.00 – 18.99% with a probability of 25.96%, and 19.00 – 21.99% with a probability of 20.29%.

INTEREST RATE EXPECTATION
According to the survey, the interest rate expectation was 42.33% in the previous survey period, but in this survey period, it reached 46.00%. The CBRT one-week repo auction interest rate expected at the end of the current month remained at 42.50% in this survey.
