At Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index started the day with a 0.21% increase at 9,444 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 20.12 points and 0.21% compared to the previous close, reaching 9,444 points. The banking index gained 0.12%, while the holding index increased by 0.22%. Following a bullish trend yesterday, the BIST 100 index closed the day with a 0.45% gain at 9,424 points. Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was financial leasing factoring with 2.83%, while real estate investment trust was the sole loser with 0.86%. The positive trend in global markets due to increased optimism regarding negotiations following the US decision to postpone trade tariffs is also reflecting in domestic markets. Analysts noted that today, the domestic budget balance will be monitored, while the ZEW economic confidence index in Germany and the Eurozone, as well as the New York Fed manufacturing index in the US, will be followed externally. Highlighting the speech of European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde as a focal point for investors, analysts pointed out that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,600 and 9,700 points, with support at 9,400 and 9,300 levels.
