In Turkey, the number of salaried employees increased by 1.1 percent in February compared to the same month last year, reaching 15,293,843 people. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) published salaried employee statistics for the February period. Accordingly, the total number of salaried employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-service sectors, which was 15,125,704 people in February 2024, increased by 1.1 percent to 15,293,843 people in the same period this year. In that month, the number of salaried employees in the industrial sector decreased by 2.2 percent annually, while it increased by 2 percent in the construction sector and 2.9 percent in the trade-service sector. It was determined that the total number of salaried employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-service sectors decreased by 0.1 percent in February compared to the previous month. During this period, the number of salaried employees decreased by 0.4 percent in the industrial sector and 0.7 percent in the construction sector, while it increased by 0.1 percent in the trade-service sector.
