About a year ago in Germany, a defendant who entered the apron at Frankfurt Airport and embraced Social Democratic Party (SPD) Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz was fined 4,500 euros. The Frankfurt local court imposed a total of 4,500 euros in fines on the defendant, Paschlis D., for the offenses of “endangering traffic safety” and “trespassing on private premises,” and also imposed a 2.5-year driving ban.
“UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS DURING THE INCIDENT” It was reported that the defendant, who was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, expressed remorse in court. Paschalis D. stated that he had accidentally found himself in this situation, describing it as both a sweet and bitter experience while apologizing. The defendant Paschalis D. had joined the convoy of Chancellor Scholz returning from an event by the European Central Bank in May 2023, and had entered the apron at Frankfurt Airport with his vehicle to embrace the Chancellor before his flight.
