A new regulation is being prepared to increase traffic fines. According to the information received, AK Party deputies, under the leadership of Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, have started preparing a draft law containing amendments to increase the lower and upper limits of administrative fines imposed on those who do not comply with traffic rules. With the proposal, administrative fines for those speeding, running red lights, changing lanes improperly, and not following turning rules will be raised.

Currently, those exceeding the speed limit are fined between 2,167 lira and 9,267 lira. Those who violate red lights and lane rules are fined 2,167 lira, while those not following turning and passing rules are fined 993 lira.
