The number of individuals with more than 1 million lira in their accounts increased by 115,871 in two months, reaching a total of 2,123,799 millionaires.

In February, the number of account holders with over 1 million lira increased by 115,871 compared to the end of 2024, with total deposits reaching 15,494,773 billion lira. According to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) data, the number of individuals, both domestic and foreign, with more than 1 million lira in their accounts reached 2,123,799 as of February 2025. The number of account holders with over 1 million lira, which was 2,007,928 by the end of 2024, increased by 115,871 in two months. The total deposits of these account holders reached 15,494,773 billion lira by the end of February. Thus, the average deposit per account holder was 7,295.8 million lira. The total deposits of these account holders, which stood at 14,786,648 billion lira in December 2024, increased by 708,125 million lira by the end of the year. In February, the deposits of domestic account holders with over 1 million lira were composed of 9,764,676 billion lira in local currency, 3,721,832 billion lira in foreign currency deposits, and 870,235 million lira in precious metal deposit accounts. Total deposits of domestic account holders reached 14,356,744 billion lira. The average deposit per domestic account holder was calculated as 7,402.7 million lira. INCREASE ALSO AMONG FOREIGN RESIDENTS BRSA data shows that the number of foreign residents with more than 1 million lira in their accounts reached 184,400 by February. This accounts for an increase of 5,406 individuals compared to December, with a total increase of 23,704 million lira in their account balances. The deposits of foreign residents in banks consisted of 404,547 million lira in local currency, 699,075 million lira in foreign currency, and 34,407 million lira in precious metal deposit accounts. As a result, the total deposits of foreign residents reached 1,138,029 billion lira. The average deposit per foreign resident was calculated as 6,171.5 million lira.
