An American food company seized by Moscow can be used to provide food for the Russian army, potentially threatening Russia’s warming relations with the USA.

According to the English news agency Reuters, a seized American food company brought under state control by Moscow will be used to supply food to the Russian army.

SOLE AMERICAN COMPANY UNDER STATE CONTROL As negotiations between the US and the Kremlin to stop the war in Ukraine took place, a canned food producer Glavprodukt seized and brought under state control in October became a target. In a letter examined by Reuters and sent from the new management of Glavprodukt to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, it is stated that the seized company will be used to supply food to the Russian National Guard and Ministry of Defense.
