Health Center in Peru Flooded by Heavy Rain

In Peru, a health center was flooded by a flood caused by heavy rainfall. Nevertheless, the clinic continues to provide services. Both rooms and corridors of the clinic are filled with water.
Excessive rainfall caused the river to overflow in Peru. Homes, schools, workplaces, and public buildings were flooded. Among the places affected by the flood is a health center. The corridors and rooms of the clinic serving in the Amazon region are filled with water. However, as it is the only health center in the area, it continues to provide services. Doctors are attending to patients by wading through the water. Measures are being taken against the water with rubber boots and boards placed on the ground.
NEAREST CENTER 8 HOURS AWAY The nearest health center outside of this area is 8 hours away. Therefore, the clinic has no choice but to continue providing services. However, the situation is problematic in terms of hygiene. There is concern about the increase in mosquitoes that can lead to malaria. Local authorities and the government are being asked for help to drain the water from the clinic.
