In other provinces in Turkey, temperatures dropped to minus 17. Saruhanlı is our district where the most intense damage occurred. We experienced this difficulty mostly in the lowlands.” Gizligider emphasized the more intense reporting in areas close to the Gediz River, where cold air accumulates in depressions, and said, “From the moment the disaster occurred, our Governor of Manisa, members of parliament, and our forestry directorate teams stood by the citizens. Even before the incident, starting on April 8, we shared the data we received from the meteorological department with our producers via messages. Simultaneously, these information-sharing efforts continued via social media.” Gizligider continued, “We have prediction and early warning systems in Manisa. These were activated. A comprehensive effort was made to minimize possible damages. We will have a closer look at the final results next week. Because the frost needs to thaw.
