In Ordu, the plentiful catch of turbot has brought smiles to both fishermen and consumers. The turbot caught by fishermen venturing out to sea in the city has enriched the fish counters. Depending on their size, the fish, which are sold for 700 to 800 lira per kilogram, attracted the interest of citizens. Tarık Arslantürk, a fisherman in the Perşembe district, mentioned that the catch of turbot has increased in recent days, and due to the abundant catch, the price is at affordable levels. Arslantürk stated that during the mid-season, turbot was sold for 1200 to 1250 lira per kilogram, and expressed satisfaction with the citizens’ interest in the fish. Erdal Çamaş also noted that he prominently displays turbot on his counter, and mentioned that citizens from both Ordu and other provinces show interest in the fish.
