The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that additional train services will be organized for Eid al-Fitr.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that in order to meet passenger demand during Eid al-Fitr, they will increase the capacity of trains with additional services by 12,786 seats. In his written statement, Minister Uraloğlu mentioned that additional high-speed train services will be arranged on the Ankara-Istanbul-Ankara route for the Eid al-Fitr. He added that 6 more services will be added to the trains, stating, “To meet the increased travel demand during the holiday period, we will organize additional high-speed train services between Ankara and Istanbul on March 28-29 and April 1. The trains will depart from Ankara at 09:40 and from Istanbul-Söğütlüçeşme at 18:00. This will provide a total of 2,466 additional seats for 3 days.” Additionally, Minister Uraloğlu mentioned that capacity would also be increased on mainline and regional trains by adding 172 cars to trains such as Izmir Mavi Ekspresi, Dogu Ekspresi, and others, resulting in a total capacity increase of 10,320 seats. He concluded, “With the additional high-speed train services and the added cars to mainline and regional trains, we will provide an additional capacity increase of 12,786 seats.”
