Airplane Incident: Fight Erupts Over “Karate Kid,” Emergency Landing Made

Watching “Karate Kid,” a five-year-old child traveling with his family caused an emergency landing on a plane. It was alleged that a woman on the flight yelled “racist remarks” at the child to shut off the movie. Following a physical altercation, the pilot made an emergency landing in Porto, Portugal. Both families were placed on the airline’s list of banned names for all flights.

An altercation between families over the Karate Kid movie led to an easyJet plane needing to make an emergency landing in Portugal. A woman on the plane attacked a five-year-old child watching the 2010 classic movie’s new version.

“ATTACKED WITH RACIST REMARKS” According to The Sun, the mother of the five-year-old claimed that her son was watching the film with the volume “low.” However, it was alleged that a woman sitting four rows ahead got angry and yelled “racist remarks” at the child to shut off the movie. Following the physical altercation, the pilot changed the route to make an emergency landing in Porto, Portugal.

BOTH FAMILIES WERE REMOVED FROM THE PLANE The local police met the plane on landing, and both families were removed from the flight heading to London due to their behavior. The child’s mother is threatening to sue the airline for the incident that “scared and upset” her family.

THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FLY WITH THE AIRLINE AGAIN In a statement to The Sun newspaper, she said, “There was racist harassment, discrimination, and physical assault in this incident. My son was extremely frightened and distressed.” Both families had to find their way from Porto while the airline reportedly ordered that those involved in the mid-air dispute will not be allowed on future flights.
